The thrill of the Outdoors is such a pleasure. John Carl Guide Service can help you get to your destination upriver or down stream so you can enjoy the outdoors.

Guided fishing is always a big hit with John Carl Guide Service. Agness is a 32 mile journey up river from Gold Beach where you will find some of the most beautiful areas in Southern Oregon. Plan a trip and stay a while. Fish, camp, hike, and enjoy yourself as the world around you slows down!

CAMPING

We can drop off and pick up your gear for camping trips into the wild section of the river. We can also provide a fire ring as it is highly recommended..

HIKING

Enjoy trail hiking along the Rogue River. Drop off and pick up services from anywhere on the trail from Blossom Bar to Foster Bar.

HUNTING & FISHING

For self guided hunting and fishing trips trips, we can drop you off at your desired location. Guided fishing trips are always available.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

We offer shuttle service for overnight upriver lodging and dinner trips to nearby Lodges. This is a two trip drop off and pick up service.

LIVERY SERVICE

We offer freight and passenger service on the river from Agness to Blossom Bar. This includes the Wild and Scenic section of the river. The river is not accessible by road from Foster Bar to Blossom Bar. This section of the river is only accessible by jetboat, raft, or the Rogue River Trail.

SAFETY

For safety reasons, shuttle and livery services are limited to a combined weight of 1,250 pounds for passengers and equipment. Low water conditions may require lighter loads in the late fall.

A word about Livery service:

Normally our Livery service is just a ride in with the sole purpose of getting you and your gear to it's destination. If you see something along the way and you want to make a brief stop, we can accommodate you with as much time as you wish. See safety about weight limitations. Call for pricing.

BOATS & EQUIPMENT

Navigating the river safely can sometimes be unpredictable with the changing seasons. We offer motorized boat training with USFS approval for individuals who are interested.
